Technicals (November)
Soybeans have officially retreated back to the “scene of the crime”, the breakout point form June 13th. Prices are back in that cluster of moving averages we discussed back then, with the last one being the 100-day moving average at 1032 1/2. Below that is some support from 1015 1/4-1022. A failure there and the chart could take a turn for the worse. As mentioned with corn, Monday’s quarterly stocks and acreage report could be the catalyst to make or break prices from these levels. The table below illustrates price action on report day going back to 2011. We are planning to send out a detailed pre-report writeup tomorrow afternoon.
