Technicals (December)
Corn futures were clinging to unchanged early in yesterday’s trade but finished lower for the 10th out of the last 11 Mondays. Another round of new contract lows yesterday was followed up by new lows overnight, trading as low as 403 1/4. Previous support from 407 1/2-410 is now first resistance. Above that is arguably a more significant resistance pocket from 415 3/4-416 1/2. Consecutive closes back above that pocket and you could start to see the market repair more of the technical damage that was done over the last month. Until then, the Bears remain in control.
