Livestock markets were under pressure to start the week. More pressure to come in today’s trade?

Technicals (December – Z)

December live cattle made an attempt at Friday’s highs and our technical resistance pocket but ultimately failed which took prices back into our first support pocket, 186.00-186.27.  A break and close below this pocket could encourage additional selling pressure with the next downside objective coming in from 183.40-184.10.

Resistance: 190.17***

Pivot:  187.25-188.00

Support: 186.00-186.27** 183.40-184.10**

Feeder Cattle

Technicals (November – X)

November feeder cattle futures saw pressure yesterday as prices retreated to our first support pocket, 249.50-250.10.  The Bulls will want to defend this pocket through today’s trade, a failure to do so could lead to additional long liquidation with the next downside target being 246.70-247.72.

Resistance: 255.50-256.32****, 257.47-258.45***

Pivot: 251.77-252.32

Support: 249.50-250.10**, 246.70-247.72***

Lean Hogs

Technicals (December – Z)

December lean hogs rolled over yesterday closing at their lowest level since May 26th.  The low from that day was 67.325, that will act as the lower end of our support pocket.  A break and close below there and the market is back in uncharted territory. The Bulls want to see a close back above 70.775-70.90 to neutralize some of the technical weakness that has been done over the last week. 

Resistance: 74.00-74.500***, 77.70-78.10*** 

Pivot: 70.775-70.90 

Support: 67.32-67.80**
