Corn and beans were lower in the overnight trade while wheat bucked the trend to trade to its highest levels in nearly a month.

Corn
Technicals (March)
March corn futures had an impressive back half of last week’s trade, trading nearly 20 cents off of Wednesday’s low on Friday. So far, the market is struggling to find follow-through momentum in the overnight and early morning trade with prices lingering in our pivot pocket from 481-484. If the Bulls can achieve consecutive closes above this pocket we could see that spur additional short covering from Funds, who hold their largest net short position since the summer of 2020.

Soybeans
Technicals (January)
Soybeans got hit hard on Friday which has led to a further breakdown in prices to start the week, with January futures trading to their lowest price levels since November 2nd. If the Bulls fail to find their footing through today’s trade, we could see the market continue to drift lower with the next significant support pocket not coming in until 1297-1300. Our bias has been in the bearish camp as of late, consecutive closes back above our pivot pocket from 1323-1327 would neutralize that.
Bias: Bearish/Neutral

Wheat
Technicals (March)
Wheat is the leader this morning, on pace for their longest winning streak since what seems like the beginning of time. This rally has taken prices to our 3-star resistance pocket from 608 1/2-611. If the Bulls can chew through this pocket we could see an extension towards the October/November highs from 622-631.
Bias: Bullish/Neutral
