Grain markets hold firm in the early morning trade. Will the holiday trade continue to keep markets mostly range-bound?

Corn
Technicals (March)
March corn futures pulled back in yesterday’s trade after failing to chew through our pivot pocket from 481-484. We remain in a buy the dip mentality but feel there would be better value between 470 and 474. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a choppy holiday trade today and tomorrow.

Pivot: 481-484

Soybeans
Technicals (March)
March soybean futures have strung together a nice little rally to start the shortened week but have so far been quiet in the overnight trade. The resistance hurdle remains in place from 1325-1330. If the Bulls can chew through that pocket, we could see the market accelerate to the upside with the next resistance pocket coming in from 1340-1342. With it still being a holiday trade, expectations should be tempered.

Wheat
Technicals (March)
March Chicago wheat futures pulled back in yesterday’s trade, retracing the breakout point from the previous day. The market is defending the pivot pocket from 618-622 which has offered some support to prices overnight and in the early morning trade. If the Bulls can continue to defend this pocket, they will retain an advantage on the shorter-term charts.
