Senior Market Strategist

Matthew Bresnahan is a Senior Market Strategist at Blue Line Futures, where he brings a sharp, risk-first lens to the fast-moving world of commodity trading. He launched his career at Trilateral Inc. in 2018, diving into the high-stakes realm of ingredient procurement and commodity price risk management for food manufacturers navigating volatile agricultural, livestock, and softs markets.

Matthew’s hands-on experience managing risk for commercial end-users gave him an edge when he joined Blue Line Futures in 2022. There, he blends fundamental insights with technical analysis to identify market risks and opportunities for a diverse range of clients — from farmers and merchandisers to processors and speculators.

His approach to navigating grain markets earned widespread attention in 2023, when his article ā€œThree Pillars of Grain Tradingā€ became the most-read feature in Grain Journal. Whether he’s consulting with producers or watching global supply chain shocks unfold in real time, Matthew remains focused on one thing: helping clients make smarter, more strategic decisions in the commodity futures arena.
