Corn, soybeans, and wheat are all lower in the early morning trade as prices trade near significant support levels. Will they hold into the weekend?

Corn
Technicals (December)
December corn futures looked like they were destined for new lows yesterday in the face of a collapsing crude oil market and heavy pressure from soybeans, but the market was able to defend the low end of the range and our support pocket which took prices back into our pivot pocket at the close. A week from today is December options expiration, coupled with a holiday week we could see a continued choppy trade.

Soybeans
Technicals (January)
Soybeans fell back below previous trendline resistance which has opened the door for a retest of the Sunday night gap and 100-day moving average from 1346-1350. We had a bearish bias in yesterday’s report but see this pocket as an opportunity to look back to the Bullish side of things. Weather in Brazil will continue to be monitored closely as it will likely have the final say in how we start next week’s trade.

Wheat
Technicals (December)
December Chicago wheat futures continued to drift lower yesterday but were able to close off the lows. Prices are back to revisit those lows in the early morning trade and are threatening new lows if the Bulls fail to defend 540-547 1/2.
